FormRill

Agency tools are in early access

Wire the contact form on every client site to FormRill. Grouping forms by client, approvals and client review links work on your account today. Team tools are next: join the waitlist and we’ll email you when they open.

Built for people who ship sites for others

Freelancers and agencies running ten, forty or a hundred client sites on Astro, Hugo, Webflow, Framer or plain HTML. You need forms that keep working after handover, one place to check them, and no PHP plugins to patch on every site.

What works today

A walkthrough using only live features, on any account.

  1. Group forms by client

Create a form per site, or several, and set its Website to the client’s domain. Your forms list groups them by website, so 40 clients read as 40 tidy sections. Forms are unlimited on every plan.

  2. Paste one URL per form

Each form gets its own unguessable URL. Set it as the action of the client’s existing form; the rest of the markup can stay as it is.

    <form method="POST"
      action="https://api.formrill.com/f_…/submit">
  3. Lock each form to its client’s domain

Add the client’s domains to Allowed domains. A form copied onto another site stops accepting submissions.

  4. Route each client’s leads

New forms email you. Add the client’s inbox as a second email automation, then Google Sheets, their CRM, a webhook, Telegram or WhatsApp, all set per form.

  5. Give clients a review link

Create a private link for a form and send it to the client. They see that form’s submissions and approve or reject them, with no account. Replace the link at any time to revoke it.

  6. Work the queue

Every submission has a status (new, assigned, approved, rejected, done) and an assignee, so your team knows who is following up which lead.

  7. Catch failures first

Submissions are stored before delivery. If a client’s CRM rejects one, it’s in the delivery log, you get an email, and one click on Retry sends it again.

  8. Clients without a site

Share a hosted form page at api.formrill.com/f/… for a client who needs a form before their site is ready.

Moving client sites off WordPress

Contact Form 7, WPForms and Gravity Forms need PHP, so they stop working when a site goes static. The form itself can stay.

  1. Keep the markup. Copy the rendered form HTML from the live page, or rebuild it in the new site.
  2. Change the action. Set action to the client’s FormRill form URL and method="POST". Remove the plugin’s hidden fields and scripts.
  3. Map the fields. Plugins use names like your-email or input_2. Rename them to name, email and message so notifications read cleanly and Reply reaches the visitor.
  4. Add the honeypot and lock the form to the client’s domain.

Not supported yet: conditional logic, multi-step forms and file upload fields. Importing old plugin entries isn’t available either; export them from WordPress before you switch off the old site.

Agency questions

Something else? Email us.

What does the waitlist get me?

An email when agency tools open up, and a say in what ships first. There’s no price yet; we’ll tell you before there is one.

Do my clients need a FormRill account?

No. Each form can have a private review link. Your client opens it, sees that form’s submissions and approves or rejects them, with no signup.

Will clients see FormRill branding?

Yes. Review links, hosted pages and notification emails are FormRill-branded today. White-label is on the list below.

Can my team share the account?

An account has one login today. Team seats are on the list below.

Can I move a WordPress form across without losing submissions?

New submissions, yes: keep the form markup and change its action. Importing old entries from Contact Form 7, WPForms or Gravity Forms isn’t supported yet.

What happens if a client’s CRM or webhook is down?

The submission is saved before any delivery is attempted. The failure is logged, you get an email, and it is retried automatically for about a day; you can also press Retry now in the delivery log once the destination is back.

Coming soon

Nothing below works today, so don’t plan a client handover around it. The waitlist hears first.

  • Team seats

Invite your team, each with their own login, instead of sharing one account.

  • Client logins under your brand

Clients sign in to a portal that carries your agency’s name, not ours.

  • White-label and custom domains

Notification emails and hosted pages on your own domain and brand.

  • Transfer a site to a client’s own account

Hand a finished site’s forms and history over to the client’s own FormRill account.
