Terms of service

1. Your account

• You need a valid email address to sign up, and you must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
• Keep your access token and the sign-in links we email you secret. Anyone who has one can use your account, and you are responsible for what happens under it.
• Tell us at hello@formrill.com straight away if you think your account has been compromised.

2. Acceptable use

You may not use FormRill to:

• collect passwords, payment card numbers, or government ID numbers through your forms;
• phish, impersonate others, or collect data under false pretences;
• send spam, or relay messages to people who didn’t ask for them;
• collect data about children without the consent the law requires;
• break the law, infringe others’ rights, or distribute malware;
• overload, probe or attack the service, or get around its limits.

We may suspend forms or accounts that break these rules. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix things.

3. Your data

• You own your forms and the submissions they collect. We use them only to provide the service to you, as described in our privacy policy.
• You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect the data your forms ask for, and for telling your visitors how you use it.
• For submissions, you are the controller and we are your processor. A data processing agreement is available on request.

4. Plans and payment

• The Free plan costs nothing and has no time limit.
• Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance. Payments run through a merchant of record that handles VAT and sales tax.
• 14-day money-back guarantee on paid plans, no questions asked.
• Cancel anytime. You drop back to Free at the end of your billing period and keep your forms.
• Going over your limit never loses a lead. We keep accepting and storing every submission, email you at 80% and 100%, and give you 7 days to upgrade before new ones are held.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. Changes apply from your next billing period.

5. Availability and changes

• We work to keep FormRill running and to never lose a submission, but we can’t promise uninterrupted service. There is no uptime guarantee on any plan today.
• We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you pay for, we’ll give you notice and a pro-rated refund where fair.
• Features marked “Coming soon” are plans, not commitments, and may change or never ship.

6. Third-party services

Automations send your submissions to services you choose, such as Google Sheets, Telegram, WhatsApp or your own webhook. Those services are governed by their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for how they handle data once delivered.

7. Ending your account

• You can stop using FormRill at any time. To delete your account and its data, open Account in the dashboard and choose Delete account, or email us from your account’s address.
• We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or that have been inactive on the Free plan for a long time, with notice where possible.

8. Liability

FormRill is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We’ll update this page when the terms change and change the date at the top. For material changes, we’ll email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect.
