Basin vs FormRill: Basin signs its webhooks, FormRill gives you more for free
Basin retries failed signed webhooks automatically for about a day. FormRill also retries failed deliveries automatically for about a day, on every destination, but its webhooks aren’t signed yet. If signatures matter most, pick Basin. If you want more on the free plan, FormRill covers 500 submissions a month across unlimited forms with a custom thank-you redirect, where Basin’s free plan has 1 form, 50 submissions and no redirect.
What Basin is
Basin is a form backend: you set your HTML form’s action to a Basin endpoint and it stores submissions, filters spam and sends them on to email and other tools. It has a drag-and-drop form builder, CAPTCHA options, signed webhooks with automatic retries, and paid plans up to agency scale.
What to know before you choose
- Basin’s free plan has 1 form endpoint, 50 submissions a month and 30-day data retention.
- Custom redirect URLs and data export start on the paid Starter plan.
- Webhooks, Google Sheets, Slack and autoresponses start on the Growth plan.

What FormRill gives you
- Never lose a submission. Every submission is saved before anything is delivered, so a failed email or webhook can’t lose it. Every delivery is logged, failures email you, and failed deliveries are retried automatically for about a day, or whenever you press Retry now. Free on every plan.
- One click to email. Your first form already sends to your inbox. If your form has an email field, Reply goes straight to the visitor.
- Route it anywhere. Telegram is free. Google Sheets, WhatsApp, webhooks, n8n and your CRM are Pro features, free during the beta.
- No CAPTCHA. A hidden honeypot field catches bots and keeps them in a Spam folder, out of your inbox.

Questions
Can I set my own thank-you page on the free plan?
Yes. Add a hidden field named redirect with the full URL, or set it once in the dashboard. It is included on FormRill’s free plan.
Does FormRill retry failed deliveries automatically?
Yes, on every plan. A failed delivery is retried about 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 6 hours and 12 hours later, and you can press Retry now in the delivery log at any time. Every submission is stored before delivery either way. If you need signed webhooks today, Basin is the better fit.
Can I bring my old Basin submissions?
FormRill does not import submissions from other services. Export what you need from Basin first.
What happens if I go past 500 submissions?
Over your limit? We keep storing every submission, email you at 80% and 100%, and give you 7 days to upgrade.
