Carrd forms with FormRill

Carrd’s form element can post submissions to a URL of your choice. Point it at FormRill and every submission is stored, emailed to you, and sent wherever else you need it.

You need a paid Carrd plan. Form elements, and the option to send them to a custom URL, are Carrd Pro features. Check Carrd’s plan comparison to see which tier includes custom form delivery.

1. Get your form URL

Sign up and copy the Form URL from the Setup tab: https://api.formrill.com/f_…/submit.

2. Set the form to send to a URL

Add or select a Form element in Carrd. In its settings, choose the delivery type that sends submissions to a URL, set the method to POST if asked, and paste your Form URL. Publish the site.

3. Name the fields

Each field in a Carrd form has an ID or name, and that becomes the field name in FormRill. Use email for the email field so replies reach the visitor, plus name and message for a typical contact form.

4. Decide what happens after submit

Carrd can show its own message or send visitors to a URL after submitting, depending on its settings. If the visitor ends up on a FormRill “Thanks!” page instead, set Redirect after submit in the FormRill form’s settings to a page on your Carrd site.

5. Test it

Submit the form on your published site. It should appear in the form’s Submissions tab and arrive in your inbox. If it’s in Submissions but not in your inbox, the Delivery log shows why the email failed. If it isn’t in Submissions at all, check the URL in Carrd’s form settings.

Exact menu names change. Carrd’s form options are named differently across versions. If a label here doesn’t match, look for the form setting that delivers submissions to a custom URL.
