Webflow forms with FormRill
Keep the form you designed in Webflow and change where it sends. Submissions then go to your email and any automation you set up, and they are stored in your FormRill inbox even if a delivery fails.
1. Get your form URL
Sign up and copy the Form URL from the Setup tab. It looks like https://api.formrill.com/f_…/submit.
2. Set the form’s action
In the Designer, select the Form Block (the form element itself, not a field) and open its element settings. In the form settings:
- set the action to your Form URL;
- set the method to
POST.
Publish the site. Webflow sends the form to that URL instead of its own form handling.
3. Name your fields
Each input’s Name in its settings becomes the field name in FormRill. Name the email input email so Reply on the notification email reaches the visitor.
4. Choose where visitors land
With a custom action, the visitor’s browser goes to FormRill after submitting, so Webflow’s own success message may not appear. Send them back to a page on your site instead: in FormRill, open the form’s settings and set Redirect after submit to your thank-you page, such as https://yoursite.com/thanks.
5. Optional: honeypot and domain lock
- If your site plan allows custom code, add an Embed element inside the form containing
<input type="checkbox" name="botcheck" hidden />. Bots that tick it are rejected. - Add your Webflow domains (for example
yoursite.webflow.io, yoursite.com) to Allowed domains in the form’s settings (Pro feature, free during the beta).
Exact menu names change. Webflow updates its Designer regularly. If a label above doesn’t match what you see, look for the form block’s action and method settings; that’s all this guide changes.
