Send form submissions to email
Every new form starts with an email automation to your address, so the quick start is one click. Each submission arrives as a plain email listing every field, and Reply goes straight to the visitor.
Set it up
- Create a form in the FormRill dashboard. It takes one click and gives you a form URL.
- Add the Email automation. Email is added for you. Add more email automations to copy a teammate or a client.
- Paste the form URL into your HTML form’s
action. Submissions start flowing on the next submit.
Your form
<form method="POST"
action="https://api.formrill.com/YOUR_FORM_ID/submit">
<input type="checkbox" name="botcheck" hidden />
<input type="text" name="name" required />
<input type="email" name="email" required />
<textarea name="message" required></textarea>
<button type="submit">Send</button>
</form>Good to know
- If your form has a field named
email, it becomes the reply-to address. - The submission is stored before the email is sent, so a bounced or delayed email never loses it. It is always in your dashboard, and a failed delivery is logged, alerts you and can be retried, on every plan.
- Notifications come from a FormRill address. Add the sender to your contacts to help keep notifications out of spam.
- Bots that fill the hidden honeypot field land in your Spam folder, so they never reach your inbox.
One form can use several automations at once, for example Telegram and a webhook together. Every submission is stored before any of them run.
